To say that our wedding "took a village" to pull off is an understatement. Friends and family from near and far pitched in to make our homemade, festival-esque wedding into a perfect celebration. Selecting Liora as our photographer undoubtedly was the best decision we made, and she was a huge part of that village.
The weather was atrocious, the daylight was dark and dreary, and everyone was freezing their asses off... but what was captured in every single one of Liora's photos was the feeling of sheer excitement, celebration and love. The fact that we were all battling the weather is presented in each frame as FUN. The obstacles that were over come in her photography were amazing: awkwardly placed heat lamps, plastic lined walls in the reception tent, mud, total cloud cast, etc. Looking at the pictures, you would never know that any of this was not supposed to be happening. Every image looks elegant, joyful and downright beautiful.
I have lost count of the amount of times I've been told that someone was so amazed at how Liora was able to capture our first dance... "and you can't even see the heat lamp you were dancing directly in front of!" She even pulled off my insane request for a group picture of the entire wedding party and attendees. Thats 185 people, cheering, and all together at once. Unbelievable!
Not only did she make things easier than I ever could have imagined, but I hardly even saw her that day. She was ever present, but I could never tell. She captured myself, my husband and all of our smiling friends and family at every wonderful moment. To Nick and I, the most important part of our wedding was our guests. She made sure to showcase them as much as we were, as per our request. She listened to every concern we had, and followed through on each thing she assured us not to worry about.
Wedding pictures last a lifetime, and I'm forever grateful for the gift that Liora left us to cherish for the rest of our days together.
